What's The LG 47LF7700 Like?

The LG 47LF7700 - A First Review

A review of the LG 47LF7700 LCD television instantly reveals an attractive and highly capable liquid crystal display TV from one of the finer makers of consumer electronics in the marketplace these days. LG has worked hard to create electronics -- and in particular, TVs -- that are highly regarded for their capabilities and outstanding features, including this 47 inch model.

This particular LG TV comes to us ready for high-definition and able to deliver stunning picture resolution in 1920x1080p. What this means is that the color and clarity, along with the richness, of the display will be particularly fine. 1080p is considered the industry standard for televisions of such quality as this one, and is five times better than what a standard definition TV can produce.

In truth, 1080p is what is known as true high-definition TV whereas 720p and below is capable of high definition but not nearly as capable as what 1080p can deliver to a viewer. This particular LG 47 inch model is particularly adept at the delivery of high-def. And because it is so capable, it has become a favorite of video gamers and fans of Blu-Ray, which is now the standard high-def format for DVDs.

Additionally, LG has provided its proprietary Tru Motion electronic suite that delivers 100 Hz. This enables the television to almost completely reduce blurring on fast-moving scenes such as one might see in an action movie and the like. What it means is that it can display up to 100 images per second. Standard definition television is only capable of displaying 50 images per second, at most.

Helpfully, the manufacturer has also provided three HDMI ports to enable a number of components to be hooked up to the LG 47LF7700. So, if one has a Blu-Ray DVD player (or any other DVD player with HDMI capability) he or she can run it through the TV quite easily along with a home theater system and maybe a stereo system or something else. It can be almost like sitting in a movie theater, in fact.

In the European market -- and especially in the United Kingdom -- LG includes the Freesat HD system for this particular model. It can access more than 140 BBC and ITV digital radio and television channels, and all for free. To help with picture display, LG has also included the Intelligent Sensor system which automatically makes adjustments to the display in keeping with the viewing environment.

This means that the television -- if it is located in a low-light environment, for example -- will be able to assess the environment around it and then make subtle adjustments to its picture display to present the absolute best picture possible. And for those who want to view JPEG or listen to MPEG files from their computer, this particular LG TV offers USB 2. 0 ports to make it as easy as pie to do so.

LG has for the last several years come to much prominence in many parts of the world and is particularly strong in the European market. It is known for high quality and outstanding customer service that combines with extremely reliable and durable consumer electronics. The LG 47LF7700 proves the wisdom of the way in which LG conducts its business because it is truly an outstanding TV.
